Configuration

Every setting has a default, so the package works without publishing anything. Publish the configuration file to change one, where every option is documented inline:

php artisan vendor:publish --tag=ai-content-marking-config
SettingDefaultWhat it does
ai-content-marking.notice.source_types['trainedAlgorithmicMedia', 'compositeWithTrainedAlgorithmicMedia']the terms the notice component renders a notice for
ai-content-marking.notice.element'p'the element a notice appears in: p, span, small, div, figcaption or aside
ai-content-marking.reader.max_bytes2097152the largest document, in bytes, MarkingReader scans
ai-content-marking.models[]the model register: whether each model watermarks its text, with a source and the day it was checked (Model register and gap report)
ai-content-marking.gaps.watermark_from_tokens200the length, in the model's tokens, from which the gap report expects a watermark

A setting that reads an environment variable changes without publishing the file:

Environment variableSettingDefault
AI_CONTENT_MARKING_READER_MAX_BYTESai-content-marking.reader.max_bytes2097152
AI_CONTENT_MARKING_WATERMARK_FROM_TOKENSai-content-marking.gaps.watermark_from_tokens200

A number that is no number, or one below 1, keeps the default.

Publish tags

The package registers one tag per publishable group, plus an umbrella tag that takes all of them:

TagPublishes
ai-content-markingeverything below, in one command
ai-content-marking-configthe configuration file
ai-content-marking-viewsthe Blade views, for overriding the notice component
ai-content-marking-langthe translation files, for changing the words of the notice

The package ships no migrations and no routes. A marking you store lives in a column of your own table, through the cast described in Marking text.
